It can be hilarious; but it’s not exactly easy to remove. Ever had a bad experience that left a mark on your heart? We all have pain from our past that we wish we could shake off. What if you could find freedom from your past?
We want to see the best – and worst – of Branson area tattoos. And you could win a special gift for showing off your tat, too!
It’s part of the Got Ink? series we’re running at Gateway Branson Church, 310 Gretna Road near the Titanic Museum, on Sunday September 10 and 17 and 24. And get this – the highlight will be when our Campus Pastor Bryan Stallings actually gets a tattoo, on stage, during the service. Seriously! Our pastor is getting ink’d!
Sometimes life goes great, like an awesome tattoo. Other times, not so much. We want to see your tattoo(s) that went bad and share the story of what went wrong. We’ll give away two $75 gift certificates to House of Ink in Branson to have them fixed. You must be present to win when the recipients are announced on September 10 and 17. Click the "submit bad ink" button below to submit a pic of your bad body art and to share the story of how it happened.
We’ll also give a $100 Visa gift card to the person with the best tattoo. Again, you must be present to win when the winner is announced on September 24. Click the "submit good ink" button below to show off your awesome ink and to tell us the story behind it.
A: Good question. Tattoos are the 21st Century way of expressing your individuality. They let the world know your self-identity. You have a self-identity, by the way. Sometimes when life goes wrong (like a tattoo that didn’t turn out right), it produces a false self-identity. And that damages you deep inside. But just like a skilled artist can fix body art that went wrong, God is skilled at fixing the things in our lives that need changing, too.
A: Yes! Or at least a gift card to have yours fixed by a talented artisan at Branson’s House of Ink. The winner of the greatest tattoo & story to back it up will receive a Visa gift card to spend on anything they want.
A: It sure is! Some churches frown on tattoos. But Gateway Branson is different. We’re church for people who don’t like church. We say “No perfect people allowed” here, and we mean it. You don’t have to be good enough to visit us; you just need a chair to sit in – and we’ve got plenty of them.
A: He sure it! A real permanent tattoo, not a temporary one that washes off in the shower. So what body part will receive this tattoo, and what will it look like? Join us and see for yourself!
A: No problem. Just call (417) 335-9915 by 10:00 A.M. Sunday morning and we’ll pick you up and bring you home afterward. For free!
There you have it. Share your tattoo pictures, and then come join us at the place everyone is talking about – Gateway Branson. Where no perfect people are allowed!
